The mission of The Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce is to foster cooperation between business, government, and the community at large, to promote a positive environment that contributes to the economic vitality of the region, to promote growth of tourism, and enhance the overall quality of life.

The Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce represents a major portion of the Westerly-Pawcatuck area's business and professional community. The 900 member businesses of the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce represent many aspects of the business world. From local retail trade and professional services to manufacturing and international exporting, Chamber members provide goods and services, jobs, and tax revenue to benefit our residents, our community, and our world. Primary objectives of the Chamber include creating a strong business voice and improving the local economy while maintaining the area's high quality of livability.

A voluntary association of businesses, professionals and individual citizens working together to make the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck area the best possible place to live and work. The Chamber is governed by a 24-member Board of Directors. A paid Executive Director and a staff of four coordinate and implement the organization's policies and programs, supervise volunteer efforts and manage membership services. The activities of the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce vary in response to the needs of the community and according to the desire and ability of the membership and staff.

The Chamber office serves as a contact point for numerous business and residential prospects, operates the official tourist information center directly off of Route 1, and promotes the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck economy in general. For the resident, the Chamber of Commerce is a reliable source of community information, and a dependable resource for business referrals. General information and business referrals are available by phone (401-586-7761) during office hours Monday-Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. During July and August, office hours extend to 7 PM on Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM. The Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce office is located at One Chamber Way, and is stocked with a wide variety of brochures, maps and information about our area. We welcome visits from business people, residents and tourists alike.

As the only organization representing the entire business and professional community, The Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce is a unifying force in Rhode Island and Southeastern Connecticut. Through involvement by service as well as financial support, Chamber members and staff are part of an organizational effort which mutually benefits their community, their businesses and their families. Anyone interested in community progress and economic prosperity is invited and encouraged to join the members of the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce working to accomplish these goals.
